What in your career has brought or given you the greatest satisfaction or fulfilment?

My biggest satisfaction is giving people an opportunity to do something amazingly unique. Seeing their face when they unearth a 95 million-year-old dinosaur bone or when they see a big olive python for the first time.

Watching any of my guiding team reach their potential and upskill in an industry that is very competitive. Love it!

What has been your biggest influence to get you to where you are today?

The biggest influence in my life is actually hard to answer. There are lots of people who have influenced my life, passions and career. Over the last 17 years, Having doors open and being privileged to showcase Outback Queensland in all its glory as a Tour Guide and mentor of my guiding team.

My parents for letting me explore and be a wild kid! That helped greatly and gave me the drive I needed to succeed.

Based on your own experiences, what advice would you give to women considering a chosen career/path such as yours?

For any woman choosing to walk the same path as me, stay strong! Never stop learning and listening. Be true to yourself.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

I’d give myself younger self lots of advice! I have 40 odd years of experience being me, so where do I start?

I’d tell myself to believe in my capabilities to be successful! You’ll do an amazing job no matter what you are doing. Don’t give up and NEVER stop having fun! Growing up is overrated. That’s important ?.
