  • Undergo “RAW & REAL” Immersion: They will embark on a back-to-basics, no-frills journey, living and breathing the wilderness. This isn’t just theory; it’s hands-on, authentic training designed to forge a deep, personal connection with nature.
  • Learn from an Industry Veteran: They will train directly under Schalk Pretorius, a guide trainer with 30 years of industry experience, who is committed to bringing guide training back to its roots of genuine bush skills and ethical practices.
  • Develop Comprehensive Skills: They will gain essential practical bush skills, learn ethical guiding principles, and receive in-depth environmental conservation education.
  • Achieve Industry-Recognized Certifications: They will work towards and receive the FGASA Apprentice Field Guide and CATHSSETA NQF2 Nature Site Guide certifications, along with vital First Aid Certification. All associated FGASA fees, manuals, and logbooks are covered.
  • Train Alongside Diverse Peers: They will learn side-by-side with passionate individuals who have also been selected based on their commitment to wildlife, fostering a shared commitment to conservation and a supportive learning environment.
  • Experience Full Immersion: The all-inclusive program covers meals, accommodation, uniform, tuition, conservation fees, and reserve entrances for the entire 10 weeks, allowing them to focus entirely on their training.
  • Receive Career Support: Upon successful completion, we will assist them in setting up interviews at esteemed lodges, connecting them directly with career opportunities in the eco-tourism industry.
